Art Exhibit Ingrid Bolton

March 11, 2018 - April 29, 2018

Free

Georgia, Georgia, The whole day through,  Just an old sweet song, keeps Georgia on my mind.

A Song of you, Comes as sweet and clear, As moonlight through the pines.

(Written by Stuart Gorrell, composed by Hoagy Carmichael and made famous by Ray Charles)

With this poetic statement from the official song of the State of Georgia and her paintings, Ingrid Bolton pays tribute to the natural and diverse beauty of the Georgia landscape, the State she loves and has resided in the past 29 years.

Her works are her artistic interpretation of a visual and emotional memory. They are representative of the very moment of inspiration. They encompass many subject matters may these be landscapes, flowers, animals or architecture.  She conveys her memories with bold and rich colors that express vitality, vibrancy and life.

In 2002 she earned a Bachelor’s Degree, Fine Arts Major, from North Georgia College and State University. Ceaselessly, she furthers her knowledge and skills and has taken many workshops with many nationally known top master painters here in the US, as well as abroad. She is a member of O.P.A. (Oil Painters of America), and A.I.S. (American Impressionist Society) as well as North Gwinnett Arts Association, Suwanee, GA and the Georgia Art League, Gainesville, GA.

Her paintings have been accepted in many juried Atlanta area exhibits and have won awards. They are also part of private collections in many US States, Canada, England, Italy and Germany as well as in local public venues.

The exhibition will be on display from March 11-April 29 in the Visitor Center, and there will be an opening reception March 11, from 2-4 pm.
