Dumpling Making Workshop

February 27, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Dumpling Making

$30 General Admission, $27 Members

Celebrate Chinese cuisine, as inspired by Yu Hua’s famous novel, “To Live,” by learning how to make Chinese dumplings in the pleated crescent. Dumplings have been prepared in China for thousands of years, with different families adding their own unique touches to their preparation. Participants will learn how to make their own dough as well as prepare and taste classic pork and vegetarian fillings.  With the guidance of two Chinese international students from the UGA College of Education, learn this time–honored process while engaging in literary and cultural discussion.  Novice and more experienced cooks will all go home with the confidence to make one’s own dumplings with ingredients easily found in local stores.  Participants also go home with Yu Hua’s novel.

Registration Deadline is February 19, 2018.
