Heritage Days Fall Festival

November 11, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This festival will combine the very popular Fall Festival with a new celebration of heritage plants and history we are calling Heritage Days. The Heritage Garden has been finished since 2001 and it is high time we celebrate it and our rich horticultural history. By celebrating our history with crafts, stories, music and hands on education classes, we can better remember the teachings of the past and relate them to the work we do today. Come join us for the ever popular leaf pile and apple cider press.  We look forward to welcoming The Old Timey Seed Swap, from Oglethorpe County, educational classes and workshops centered around heritage plants and their uses, local musicians, a scarecrow design/build competition for nearby 4-H clubs, demonstrations and local actors playing historical figures in the garden.

Workshops will be from 9-11a and 1-3p (Fees for workshops, See Related Events below for workshop information)
