October Full Moon Hike Hunter’s Moon

October 24, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Full Moon Hike: Hunter’s Moon

$5 per person, $15 per Family

October’s Hunter Moon hike will be brought to you by Trina Morris of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. October 24 will be the start of Bat Week, and what better way to celebrate than with a Full Moon Hike? Join us to check mist nets for bats (participants will not be allowed to touch the bats) and try for audio surveys to determine what species are flying that night.

Come see the garden come alive at night! Each walk will focus on a different topic such as the moon, constellations, or nocturnal creatures. Bring family and friends of all ages along to enjoy the mysterious world of nature at night! Be prepared to hike up to 2 miles on our wooded trails and in the garden. If you have young children or infants, a backpack carrier is suggested.
