Plantapalooza! is three simultaneous plant sales in Athens: at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, UGA's Horticulture Club, and the Trial Gardens at UGA. What makes this event so special is the variety of traditional and unique plants that you would have difficulty finding anywhere else - plus access to horticulture professors, garden curators and master gardeners to answer questions and help with your selections.
Don't miss any of the three sales because each one is a different experience. Each sale offers the chance for you to get new plants and information to help grow a beautiful garden this spring.
At each venue you attend you will receive a discount that can be redeemed at local Athens nurseries. Every sale offers a 5% discount stamp that can be used on full price plants at local nurseries, so if you visit all three sales you will receive a 15% discount on your next plant purchase.
The UGA Student Horticulture Club objective is to stimulate student interest in horticulture by providing opportunities for practical career related experience.
The Trial Garden is a research, teaching, and new crop introduction facility. The Garden is renowned for showing gardeners the latest perennials and annuals for the southeast.
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is a 313-acre preserve set aside by the University of Georgia for the study and enjoyment of plants and nature.
