There are several theme gardens to explore when visiting the State Botanical Garden and a Guided Garden Tour is the best way to ensure that you don’t miss a thing. Tours last approximately 1 ½ hours, include one or more gardens and are led by our experienced and enthusiastic tour guides. We ask for a $5.00 per person cost, with a minimum of 10 visitors for each of these tours. Simply choose one of the tour options listed below and begin discovering a portion of our 313 acre living classroom.
Option 1 "Garden Tour Sampler" - Tour includes: Conservatory, Heritage and International Gardens. Excellent tour for first time visitors!
Option 2 "Edible Gardening" - Tour includes: Mediterranean, Herb and Heritage Gardens. Discover wonderful ideas for your own home kitchen garden.
Option 3 "Gardens in Bloom" - Tour includes: Flower Garden or International Garden.
Option 4 "A Walk on the Wild Side" - Tour includes: Shade and Native Flora Gardens. Learn about gardening for wildlife and wildflowers as you stroll through the Shade and Native Flora Gardens.
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is proud to house the Garden Club of Georgia and its state headquarters. The upper level of the building is a magnificent house museum containing antique furniture, unique custom made rugs, beautiful prints and paintings, porcelains, and other decorative arts. These tours are led by Garden Club volunteers and last about an hour. We ask for a $5.00 per person cost, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 participants.
Garden & Garden Club Combo
Enjoy both the Garden and the Garden Club in this combo tour–a garden(s) of seasonal interest plus the beauty and detail of the Garden Club furnishings. The combo tour lasts about two hours. Experienced guides and volunteers conduct the tour. We ask for a $10.00 per person cost, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 25 guests. |
