Garden Travels– Chicago

January 14, 2020, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Chicago

$10 General Admission, Free for Members

Director of Horticulture Shelly Prescott attended a unique industry collaboration in August, 2019, when The National Garden Bureau (NGB), Perennial Plant Association (PPA), and All-America Selections (AAS) teamed up to host a joint meeting in Chicago, IL, and its surrounding suburbs. With a motto of “Urbs in Horto” (Latin meaning “City in a Garden”), Chicago seems to celebrate warm weather with an abundance of flowers, parks and outdoor events. Hear about Chicago as a summer destination and experience this trio of garden industry events in our January Garden Travels. The light reception provided by the Friends of the Garden at 6:30 is an opportunity to meet your fellow travelers.

Light reception before the talk provided by the Friends of the Garden.
