It is the most wonderful time of the year….to plan for your future fruit production! Gareth Crosby, curator of the Heritage Garden, will teach you the best ways to expand your fruit production in your home orchard or vineyard with apples, pears, peaches, plums, cane fruit, hardy kiwi, muscadines and more, as well as discuss the challenges of keeping fruiting plants healthy and productive. She will demonstrate proper pruning techniques and participants will have hands–on experience. The morning session (9-12) will cover the basics of pruning and various pruning techniques and the afternoon session (1-4) will focus on pest and disease management along with seasonal maintenance.
