Wondrous Forms – A Trek through Deep Time with Gaia

August 11, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Bob Ambrose, retired environmental engineer & poet

Free to the public; no registration required

Please join us for an educational and uplifting hour as Bob Ambrose describes and celebrates the history of life on Earth with poetry drawn from his recently published book “Between Birdsong and Boulder – Poems on the Life of Gaia.” To develop a perspective on Earth’s antiquity, he will use the framework of a journey across the Earth scaled to geologic time. Poems and visuals grounded in the natural sciences will bring the different ages of Gaia back to life. Key events in Earth’s four eons will be featured, from the early emergence of life through the evolution of complex life forms and landscapes into the present age. The objective is to nurture a sense of wonder and connection to the immense journey of life.
