The State Botanical Garden will be closed on Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, for maintenance.

All programs, events and tours at the State Botanical Garden are canceled until further notice. The garden’s buildings and the Alice H. Richards Children’s Garden will also be closed to the public during this time.  This decision aligns with the University of Georgia’s COVID-19 response and is also taken with an abundance of caution for the safety of our visitors and staff.

Effective Monday, June 8th, the grounds and trails will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Children’s Garden and Visitor Center will remain closed at this time.

The State Botanical Garden:
• Routinely cleans frequently-touched surfaces,
• Provides hand soap and encourages all guests to wash their hands frequently,
• Has posted flyers from the CDC in visible locations around the garden, and (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/stop-the-spread-of-germs.pdf)
• Encourages sick employees to stay home.
