Winter WonderLights
The winter light show, presented by the UGA Office of the President, follows a half-mile fully accessible trail through a Winter Wondercave, along Jingle Bell Lane, into the Northern Lights and through a Cone Tree Forest, among other dazzling features.
Along the way, visitors can roast marshmallows for s’mores over an open fire and enjoy rich hot chocolate or other refreshments.
Winter WonderLights was recently named the best local event in Athens for the third year in the Athens Banner-Herald’s Community’s Choice Awards.

Free parking for the show is available at the
Turner Soccer Complex, 2330 S. Milledge Ave. Athens, GA 30605.
Shuttles to the show will begin at 5:25 p.m.
Onsite VIP parking is available for $25 when purchasing tickets.
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia is excited to offer an opportunity to experience Winter WonderLights in a new way. You can now host private events at the State Botanical Garden’s world-class facilities during the evenings of the Winter WonderLights show.
We need volunteers each night to make the Winter WonderLights magic happen! Volunteer shifts are 4:30-7:45 p.m. and 7:15-10:30 p.m. Volunteer positions include wayfinding, photo stop monitors and s’mores station monitors. Contact Andrea Fischer at sbgvol@uga.edu or 706-542-6195 with questions.
