The State Botanical Garden of Georgia creates and nurtures an environment for learning, inspiration and engagement through horticulture, conservation, science-based programs and lasting partnerships.

Our vision is to be a garden that celebrates the best in southern horticulture, natural heritage and culture through excellence in gardening displays and practices and stewardship of healthy natural ecosystems.
Core Values
Education – As part of the University of Georgia, education is at the heart of all we do. We create an environment that stimulates and encourages learning at all ages and stages of life through hands-on experiential learning.
As a Public Service and Outreach unit of the University of Georgia, we fit into the wider UGA outreach mission to improve people’s lives by helping create jobs and prosperity, developing leaders and addressing the state’s most critical issues.
