Orchid Diversity & Conservation in Equador

$10 General Admission, Free for Members

UGA Alum Alex Reynolds is the director of Siempre Verde reserve in the northwest Andes of Ecuador. He will discuss orchid diversity in the Intag region of Ecuador and the role of private reserves for species conservation. Threats to their habitats, such as mining in the region will also be explained. For the first time, a Garden Travels is being held in the Cecil B. Day Chapel, known for its architectural details and amazing acoustics in a woodland setting. We will open the main chapel to the public from 6-7 p.m., with live music. Volunteers will be available to answer questions and point out features of the chapel.

Light reception before the talk provided by Friends of the Garden.
